Authentication Procedure
Any autographed product we sell has gone through the following authentication process.
-
The Five Steps:
- Step 1: Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
- Step 2: Numbered Tracking Hologram: The Certified Memorabilia Disc
- Step 3: Numbered Sealing Hologram: Sealing the item in front of witnesses
- Step 4: Photos of signing sessions conducted by Helping Hand Group
- Step 5: SAS Database: Storage for future reference & tracking
Step 1: Certificate of Authenticity (COA)

This document, colour-printed on either indestructible polyethylene or laminated paper, is personally signed and unconditionally guaranteed by the manufacturers. Guarantee straight from the source, so to speak!
As any autograph dealer can issue a COA, the value of a COA is directly related to the reputation of the issuer. Every product is carefully examined by a third party that endorses the COA: The Helping Hand Group is an authority in the field of authenticating and valuating memorabilia for 15 years already, The Helping Hand Group is the leading memorabilia-related charity fundraising organisation in Australia and Asia. Each COA is only issued when the Helping Hand Group is unanimously convinced the product is authentic.
Step 2: Numbered Tracking Hologram: The Certified Memorabilia Disc
Each signed COA bears an individually numbered anti-fraud hologram, custom made and practically impossible to forge. Without this hologram the COA is not valid and the unconditional guarantee null and void.
Step 3: Numbered Sealing Hologram
The back of each framed item is then sealed with a second anti-fraud Hologram to prevent reframing. This is done in the presence of the Helping Hand Group representatives as witnesses. The second Hologram displays the same individual number as on the COA Hologram. There are only two matching Holograms of each individual number worldwide. COA Hologram and Sealing Hologram together guarantee the 100% authenticity of your product.
Step 4: Photos of official HHG signing sessions
We keep photos and digital images of signing sessions that we have conducted in our archives. Click here to go to the Signing Session Gallery. Many of our products come with a photo of the celebrity signing the items during our official signing session.
Step 5: SAS Database: Storage for future reference & tracking
Finally, when the autographed product is ready for sale, it is entered in our secure online SAS Administration System Database, together with its unique Hologram number. In the database all characteristics of the product will remains stored for future reference and tracking purposes. In the unfortunate case your item gets damaged or stolen, we can issue an Insurance Statement for you free of charge. The SAS database can also be checked to verify items that seem questionable or need additional verification. The information about our purchasers remain strictly confidential and will not be accessible by anyone else but the purchaser.
